Back to school prep include eye exams?

While many of us see August as the back to school month, it is also National Eye Exam month. As you gather your back to school supplies you should also take the time to make an appointment for your children’s eye exam.

Getting regular eye exams is good for your overall health, even for your children. Eye exams can help identify early issues of deteriorating eye health. Even children who have no symptoms at all can have underlying eye issues that can only be detected through comprehensive eye exams. One out of four children need corrected vision.

Eye exams can be helpful in several ways. They can discover headache sources, help children see better in the classroom and detect eye conditions before they get worse.

So while you do your back to school prep, be sure to make an appointment with your optometrist for your children’s annual eye exam.
